Faith Forward: Invited to the Story

Today January 29, 2025

Good morning and welcome to your mid-week!

Matthew and Andrew’s inclusion into the twelve disciples give us an amazing lesson on the power of invitation.

For Matthew, we have someone who was the last person anyone would expect to follow Jesus. However, from Jesus’ invitation to ‘follow me’ we see an amazing transformation.

For Andrew, without his invitation to his brother Apostle Peter would never be a disciple.

Together, they are a reminder of what one invitation can do. How, when we invite someone to Jesus, amazing things can happen.

What if someone in your life, someone who feels unworthy or too far gone, is waiting for that same invitation?

Jesus has shown us that no one is beyond His reach, and He has called us to be His hands and feet in extending that reach. So, as we move forward in faith together this year, let us take that first step of invitation, trusting that God will use even our smallest acts of love to create stories of transformation.

Who will you invite this week? Who will you love in the name of Jesus? Let’s walk in faith together so that your faith and my faith may become our story.

God’s blessing upon you as you meditate on God’s invitation to you and the amazing transformation he has done on your life, and I look forward to worshipping with you this Sunday.
