TFPC EM NEWSLETTER - JANUARY 23, 2019

Together We Are Molded

Today is January 23, 2019

Welcome to your mid-week!

In Isaiah 64:8 an analogy is used to describe us and God. We are called 'the clay.' God is called 'the potter.'

Now, there are many stages that take place to turn a piece of clay to a jar or a vase. However, not reading into the analogy too deeply, there are four main stages: formation, waiting, fire, & completion. And that is what we see biblically.

There are times where we are stretched and formed. Where we are sanctified by the word and become more and more holy.

There are times where we are asked to wait. Where we are asked to be patience and need to be still before the Lord.

There are times of fire. Where we are refined and where trials are used to help us mature.

And there are times of completion. Where the fruit of the Spirit is harvested and where He who began a good work in you brings you to completion

The challenge of our vision for 2019 - Together We Are Molded - is to not just be aware of what stage you are in, but to know and be considerate of the stages other people are in. And then, once knowing their stage, to help them or support them or encourage them as God brings them to completion.

God's blessing upon you as you wrestle with this year's vision and I look forward to seeing you all this Sunday.
