Good morning and welcome to your mid-week!
This past Sunday marked the end of our 3 day Spring Revival: ‘Your Faith, My Faith, Our Story.’ In those 3 days our guest preacher, Pastor Daniel Park, talked about unity, evangelism, and living the happy life in Christ. And, in response to those messages, we reflected on how God brought our faith to where we are now, on the hope for our story of faith as a church, and our identity in Christ Jesus.
And we wrote those reflections down on reflections of ourselves. On mirror walls and pocket sized mirrors, we wrote down our reflections and convictions.
And the hope is that those writings will be a reminder to us. That, every time we see them, we will be reminded of the the experiences and convictions of this revival. And that, in turn, will convict us to once again seek the Lord.
For, seeking the Lord is the first step to having that happy life in Christ.
As Pastor Daniel said,
“…the more desperate we are for God the less desperate we will be. The more dependent we are on God the less we will be dependent on others. The more I depend on him the less I'm dependent on people. The more I cling to God the less clingy I am in my interpersonal relationships. The more needy I am before God the less needy I will be.”
