Feeling Thanksgiving

Today November 13, 2024

Welcome to your mid-week!

God freely gives us his word which is more than just a book of wisdom. God’s word is life. It helps us from dangers, encourages us, brings joy and delight, and leads to freedom.

Add to that the sending of the Holy Spirit to us. The Holy Spirit is always with us, calls to attention the wisdom of the word of God in many ways, and guides us, if we are willing, on the righteous path.

Yet, even when we fail to listen to the Holy Spirit and follow the word of God, God is still there. His strength can always be found even in our lowest moments and deepest weaknesses. God’s love for us does not break. He never leaves us nor forsakes us.

All this shows us just how faithful God is to us. God is faithful to be with us, faithful to hear us and answer us, faithful to help us to grow in faith and character, and faithful to give us peace.

And, what should I response be to all of this?

Thanksgiving.

God’s blessing upon you as you mediate on how God blesses you in the day to day, and I look forward to worshipping with you this Sunday.
