TFPC EM NEWSLETTER - OCTOBER 2, 2019

Our Diploma
Today is October 2, 2019
Welcome to your mid-week!
How much does the Lord love us? Well, in the bible we see that...
He knows us. He knows our struggles and our challenges.
He comes to where we are. He humbles himself and meets us as we are - no works needed.
He gives us his son to atone for our sin. He pays the penalty of our sin by sacrificing His one and only son in our place.
And He is faithful to keep His promises.
He loves us despite our rebellion and sin.
He proactively acts for our benefit.
And He is faithful to keep His promises.
For He rescues us from this broken world and gives us eternal life so that we can, once again, be with our maker.
But, what's more, He gives us a crown.
This is a crown of righteousness. A crown that lasts forever. A crown of rejoicing.
And this crown reflects how God views us and how important we are to God. We are royalty, co-heirs with Christ; yes, sharing in His suffering in this fallen world but also sharing in His glory.
This is how important we are to God. This is how much God loves us.
And, as we face the difficulty and struggles of this world - as we face set backs and disappointments, heart-ache and pain, frustrations and sorrow and death - it is a good reminder to remember the hope we have in the one who saves us, in love, from this world.
God's blessing upon you this week and I look forward to seeing you all in the Main Sanctuary for joint worship this Sunday.
