The Fruit of Fellowship
Today is July 26, 2023
Welcome to your mid-week!
One of the fruits of fellowship is courage.
Courage to face persecution.
Courage to face economic hardships.
Courage to face sickness.
Courage to face death.
The fears of this world are a little easier to face when you have people by your side.
However, when you look in the bible, you will see that finding support and security was not the end all be all for those that had fellowship with one another. From the example of the early church we see that fellowship always led to the courage to share the gospel.
In fact, when faced with threats against their physical well-being, God's people did not pray for deliverance or rescue but, instead, prayed for more courage to speak the gospel to people. It was like fellowship was the spiritual charging stations of those that were being sent out.
Meaning, true fellowship does not end at courage. Ultimately the fruit of true fellowship is evangelism.
God's blessing upon you as you mediate on fellowship and your own fears of sharing the gospel, and I look forward to worshipping with you this Sunday.
