TFPC EM NEWSLETTER - OCTOBER 12, 2022

Lord Jesus
Today is October 12, 2022
Welcome to your mid-week!
The name 'Lord' was given to Jesus by God the Father after Jesus' resurrection. The bible tells us that it is the 'name above every name;' a name that all will declare Jesus to be in time.
But what does it mean? Well...
- To declare Jesus Lord is to declare his position over you and to honor him
- To declare Jesus Lord is to declare that he is your one and only God
- To declare Jesus Lord is to declare that you trust in him for all things
- To declare Jesus Lord is to declare that you will follow in his example of humility
The name that we open our prayers with and sing songs about, not only does it remind us of who Jesus is and who we are in relation to Jesus, but it challenges us to put our full trust in him; to show the same humility that Jesus demonstrated by dying for our sins while, at the same time, honoring the one who saves us.
That's the depth that is in the name 'Lord.'
God's blessing upon you as you mediate on the name 'Lord' in reference to Jesus, and I look forward to worshipping with you this Sunday.
