TFPC EM NEWSLETTER - APRIL 28, 2020

An Update from Pastor Frank about the Opening of our Church's Onsite Worship Service

After much prayer and deliberation, the leadership of our church has decided to open the 9:45am Sunday worship service for onsite worship. Meaning, starting May 2 (Sun) and moving forward, the 9:45am worship will be a hybrid online/onsite worship.

The leadership will monitor the covid numbers during the month of May and will decide, at a later date, whether to open up the 11:30am worship service and the education worship services for the month of June.

For now, the 11:30am worship service will remain being online only.

I know that the pandemic has been a trying and difficult time but, as Hebrews 12:1b encourages us, “…let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us.”

We are almost at the end of this. The finish line is in sight. Let us continue to be steadfast while encouraging one another and, in due time, I know we will see each other face to face.

God’s blessings upon you all and be safe!

God's Eyes

Today is April 28, 2021

Welcome to your mid-week!

We live in a divisive world where, instead of seeing each other as people made in the image of God, we see each other as less - looking down upon people we view as wrong or guilty.

Yet, being God's image bearers means more than just who we are, it is who we ought to be. Within the phrase it is implied that we need to be transformed. And that transformation is only possible if the gospel is at the center of our lives.

Conversations with people we disagree with need not be about securing who is the victim or who is the innocent or who is to blame or who is absolved. If the gospel is at our center, conversations can be an appeal to see what we have in common and not what divides us. It can be an appeal to see that we are all brothers and sisters, all fallen through Adam, all saved in Christ - that the only way we can move forward together is through the common morality that appeals to the best that we can be via the power and conviction of the Holy Spirit and the transformational power of the word of God.

Having the gospel be the center of our lives means seeing people the way God sees people and to act as he did - in trust, humility, patience, vision, mercy, grace, compassion, and love.

God's blessing and protection over you and your family as you try to see people the way God does, and I look forward to seeing you onsite or online this Sunday!
